William Sparkman

William Daniel Sparkman, age 64, of Chicago, IL, passed away on May 16th, 2020
William -better known as Butch - was born on July 10th, 1955 to Lillian Stephanys.

William was born and raised on Chicago's north side. He was a self-taught tradesman and
worked as a general contractor for over 40 years. He enjoyed working with his hands and was
well known for his hard labor and strong work ethic. William enjoyed cars, action movies,
comedies, video games, and had a great love for music. Most knew him as a serious man, but
he enjoyed practical jokes, storytelling, playing cards and dominoes, as well as wrestling and
playing with his grandchildren.

William was the beloved husband of Debra Sparkman. He was the beloved father of William
Sparkman II, Kevin Pete, Jarmal Sparkman, Jacqueline Dye, Shanna Jones, William Digby, and
Victoria Sparkman. He was the beloved grandfather of Xavier Pete, Isayah Willis, Kiyarie Pete,
Ylanna Barajas, and Daryl James Dye.

William was a man who modeled hard work, passion, principle, and discipline. His personality
was large, his smile was kind, and his laughter infectious. He is loved and greatly missed.
